So…. Things have been a bit strange for the last few weeks. The extreme change of gear from working six days a week to suddenly nothing has had a more profound and negative effect on me than I ever imagined.  There are so many things I could/should be doing but the will and drive to do them is just not there.

My photography is definitely at low ebb at the moment which reflects my current mood I guess – certainly a lot of my recent stuff has been poorly received here on DA.  I went out today to try and discipline myself to shoot some landscapes and the whole afternoon was an epic fail. I did start the self-portraits I talked about attempting a couple of journals ago and I've been shooting these randomly in the early hours of the morning. For the most part, I find the results disturbing.

On a more positive note I'm shooting again next week with Pinkerbell

and Mark Varley

which will undoubtedly shake me out of my rut – we have new locations to explore and there may well be some studio work on the cards.
And at the end of the month 'its on' for round two with the excellent Ruby Jewel
